Helping Kids and Parents Thrive
Navigate Adolescence is a nonprofit organization devoted to providing kids and their parents the tools needed to navigate adolescence with confidence, resilience, and kindness.
Transitions into Adulthood
Navigate Adolescence was pleased to bring best-selling author Dr. Lisa Damour to Downers Grove on May 1. With both humor and candor, she pulled back the curtain on the teenage years and showed why our teens' erratic and confusing behavior is actually healthy, necessary, and natural. Dr. Damour has drawn on decades of experience and the latest research to reveal the seven developmental stages that turn adolescents into thriving adults.

Honor Someone Special
As families navigate the journey of adolescence, sometimes our stars are the special people who shine their light on the path for our children: moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandmas, grandpas, teachers and friends, among others.
Consider honoring someone as a guiding star in your children's lives--and help us fund programs that make a difference as kids navigate adolescence.
When you give $100 in honor of a person who helps light the way for your family, we will provide you with a gift to share with that special person: a rustic star garden stake with the message, "You Are a Guiding Star" attached. We'll also include a "Guiding Star" certificate.
Let's Talk About Anxiety
We're helping start a global conversation about anxiety through the new documentary, "Angst: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety". Kids and teens discuss their anxiety and its impacts on their lives and relationships, as well as how they've found solutions and hope.
The screening was held on April 30, followed by a brief discussion and Q&A session with Ann Carlson, LCSW, and Dr. Christine Amstadt, M.D. Visit the Angst website to learn more.
